Meet Scott

I was born and raised in the small town of Middletown, Ohio where neighbors looked out for each other, where volunteers stepped up to help those in need, and civil servants were committed to the entire community (not only those who voted for them or donated money.

I was raised to treat others with the same kindness and respect that I desire for myself. I carried that through my entire working career assisting individuals and small businesses as a financial advisor. Along the way, I became a Certified Paralegal working with individuals trying to claim disability benefits through the Veterans Administration and the Social Security Administration. As a community volunteer, I was involved with the Boy Scouts of America serving as a troop Scoutmaster and later as a leader skills trainer for the Scout Council.

These life experiences plus many more gave me the skills to LISTEN and research an issue or problem to work toward solutions. This was most evident when, as a volunteer for the American Red Cross Disaster Recovery program, I was deployed to Hurricane (Super Storm) Sandy twice. First to help run a very remote shelter then, 2 months later,as part of special teams of volunteers tasked to go out to the entire New York metropolitan area and meet people who requested additional assistance and coordinate the dozens of agencies from the Federal, State and local governments. For two weeks, 8+ hours a day, we met with and LISTENED to so many stories that resulted in us cutting through layers of bureaucracy and obtaining relief financially as well as for mental health issues.

My campaign will be holding events across all three counties of District 98 that we are calling the LISTENING TOUR. We want to hear from everyone, Democrats, Republicans and those not affiliated with either party. Details coming soon.
